This printer will scan a double sided original in one pass and print sorted copies, eliminating the need to manually collate. I prefer to print it 2-sided which was a problem with my previous printer because it would occasionally double feed when printing the second side due to static electricity and once successfully printed had to be manually collated. I need to create 8 copies of a 6 page report every month. It is faster than my old Brother and has 2-sided printing and scanning. They were always replaced because the newer models were faster or had valuable new features. I have never had one fail and have never had to replace a drum unit. This is the third of fourth on I have owned. I have been using a brother laser printer for at least 15 years now.
